Ghosts of G.L.C.M. - 25th Anniversary (1988-2013)

Tucked away in the flat Cambridgeshire farmland is RAF Molesworth, with a long and well-documented history as an airfield that dates back to the early 1900s.  RAF Molesworth played an important role for the Allies during World War II, but its designation in 1981 as a host to sixty-four mobile, nuclear-tipped, ground-launched cruise missiles earned Molesworth a more contentious place in Cold War history.

The missile facility and supporting infrastructure at RAF Molesworth have since become the 'ghosts' of the Cold War era, and October 2013 marked the 25th anniversary of its passing.  This compilation of images commemorates this less prestigious period in RAF Molesworth?s history and visually depict these somber remnants of our military heritage.
